World’s tiniest radio was invented based on the Nanotechnology recently this year in California by U.S scientists. Unbelievably it’s size is 10,000 times smaller than the width of the human hair.A nonometer is one millionth part of a millimeter. It can tune AM and FM transmissions for you but we can’t see it directly, it can be viewed under an extremely sensitive microscope called “Photo”.
The Nano Radio contains a carbon Nanotube of diameter as big as 10 carbon atoms and a length of almost 200 Nano meters. The Californian scientists kept it in vacuum and sent radio waves into it. Excitingly it tuned the radio waves and transmitted them on speakers. This nano radio is also used as a sensor to indicate the purity of water and atmosphere.This is a great example of future Nano world. We can see wonders in nano technology in very near future.
