Sony recently unveils Play Station 3 120GB slim version in Gamescom expo. Sony PlayStation 3 is capable of playing Blu-ray movies. Sony PS3 slim comes with USB Ethernet , HDMI output , AV multi output , Optical digital output. Sony PS3 slim version is available for $299 and 160GB PS3 is available for $399. PlayStation 3 slim is lighter with less power consumption than earlier PlayStation 3.  PS3 slim comes with Wireless DualShock 3 controller. PS3 slim is expected to hit markets in September this year.

Microsoft Zune HD is now officially announced for pre-order. Microsoft is going to rock this holiday season with this portable HD player as well as it’s new operating system Windows 7. Zune HD is available in two variants Zune HD 16GB and 32GB. 16GB player is available in black colour and 32 GB in platinum silver colour. Microsoft equipped Zune HD with wi-fi and OLED multi-touch display. Zune HD has 3.3 inch display with 480×272 gorgeous resolution. It includes touchscreen QWERTY keyboard for internet browsing. Sony launched ultra portable wire free w-series mp3 players. New W-Series Mp3 player has a built-in 2GB memory and ear buds. It is available in two colors Black and Pink. It doesn’t have any display so Sony introduced a Zappin function button that allow users to quickly navigate through the songs list. Sony W-Series Walkman also comes with a multipurpose dock which allow users to transfer data as well as for charging the player. Software Legend Microsoft is facing a tough competition from Google. Even though Google search engine is the best search engine among the other, their Chrome web browser is not as popular as Mozilla Firefox. Now Google announced that they are starting a new project Google Chrome OS for PCs. They revealed about Google Chrome OS in their Blog. According to Google Blog Google Chrome OS is an open source, lightweight operating system that will initially be targeted at notebooks. Later this year we will open-source its code, and notebooks running Google Chrome OS will be available for consumers in the second half of 2010. Google Chrome OS is a windowing system based on Linux kernel. Chrome Operating System works on both x86 as well x64. So you can download Google Chrome OS Code later this year.

Microsoft released a new search engine for Windows  Opeating system, Windows Search 4.0(KB940157). Windows Search 4.0 includes faster Windows Desktop Search (WDS) and Web search. Windows Search 4 has a better preview pane for Photos,Videos and Music files. It has an improved indexing performance and You don’t need to install a third party search for windows.
