Google Ads attacked by trojan virus

Google Ads recently attacked by a Trojan virus.They are replacing the Google ads with an different ads from different ad provider. BitDefender said that “ADVERTISEMENTS placed by Google in web pages are being hijacked by trojan software”.

BitDefender identified this threat as Trojan.Qhost.WU that modifies the virus infected computers.The modified file contains a line that redirecting the host “ pagead2.googlesyndication.com ” which is pointing to an IP of the form 9x.xxx.xxx.xxx instead of 6x.xxx.xxx.xxx, so that the trojan infected computers’ browsers reading ads from the replacement address.

A BitDefender virus analyst said that “This is a serious situation that damages users and alike”. BitDefender company said that “This virus(Trojan.Qhost.WU) is spreading at a “low” level and causing “medium” damage.

Due to this virus webmasters are seriously affected because this virus takes away viewers to a different position so they are loosing their revenue from their websites.
