Hutch is now Vodafone
Hutchinson Essar, popularly known as Hutch is one of the India’s leading Tele Communications limited was renamed as on september 21st 2007 as Vodafone which is a UK company. Vodafone acquired 67 percent share in Hutchinson Tele Communications Limited which was a Hong-Kong company.
Now India is a 26th company where Vodafone has operations over 5 continents and 40 partner networks and 200 million customers worldwide.
Asim Ghosh who is managing director of Vodafone Essar said: “We’ve had good and great innings and we are going to start a new innings as Vodafone not as the departures from the fundamentals that created Hutch,but an acceleration into the future with Vodafone company.
